EJ and Cary Veit were able to expand the family-owned Veit’s Vettes and Collector Cars from one showroom to two this month because there are plenty of customers - virtually all of them male - looking for the dream cars of their youth.

“During the (Iraq) war, we got a phone call from the guy and he wanted to buy a 1958 Lincoln we’d had on the Web site,” EJ Veit said “We’d already sold it The guy must have called five times and kept saying, I want the car.”
“He says, ‘I pay cash’ It was hard to explain to him we’d sold it.”
The customer could have chosen a 1958 Lincoln limousine John D Rockefeller once owned EJ Veit also has a rare, 1935 Packard convertible in his personal collection that is worth about $250,000 He’s willing to sell for the right offer
And in the showrooms, all for sale, are an assortment of Corvettes, Mustangs, Thunderbirds and Camaros
The Veits and the Klemme family, owners of Klemme�s Klassic Kars on Brady Street in Davenport, Iowa are in the business of fulfilling the automotive dreams of those who can afford those dreams
“Now we’d like more people in the area to know we are here We were going for exposure when we came to Bettendorf,” Cary Veit explained.
