Restoration Gallery: 1948 Diamond T Custom
My nephew has been busy posting photos of my father’s custom 1948 Diamond T. The Diamond T is in excellent overall condition and exhibits very little rust and a few minor dents. The truck is being refurbished as a driver and a work truck. It will end up hauling everything from vintage cars to cordwood. The frame was shortened about two feet, a custom power steering setup was installed, the gas tank was moved to a location behind the cab on top of the frame, a flat bed will be added, a custom trailer hitch was dropped down from the end of the frame, the steering column was modified for a more comfortable fit, and the original engine has been replaced by a Ford 391 with an automatic transmission.
