Porsche 356 Pulled From Bottom of Lake
The dredging of rusting hulks out of rivers, swamps, and time capsules has been a regular thing lately. We have had a World War II tank, a Mercedes, a Plymouth, and now a Porsche 356. The Porsche looked pretty much whole until it made it onto dry land, where it started to break up. The car was fished out of a lake in Wisconsin, where it had presumably taken up residence at least 30 years ago. Speculation on how the car met its watery end range from it falling through the ice to being dumped by car thieves. There are more photos on The H.A.M.B. message board.
