Official Gone in 60 Seconds Eleanor

There have been many Eleanor recreations over the years, but the first officially-license Eleanor is about to hit the streets. The producers of “Gone in 60 Seconds” have licensed the right to create an official Eleanor to Classic Recreations, of Yukon, Oklahoma. There are two body options available. The first is an all-new car built from the ground up using a brand new 1967 Mustang Fastback body licensed and authorized by Ford. The second option allows customers to use an original 1967 Mustang body updated with new parts. The base price depends on what insanely powerful Keith Craft crate engine the customer would like to have installed. The 410 cubic inch 535-horsepower car comes in at $139,000 with a 427 cubic inch 750-horsepower version coming in at $189,900. The cars can be ordered with some unusual options, including right hand drive ($5,500), leather interior ($1,500), keyless entry ($400) and a DVD player ($1,000).

There are many more photos at the Classic Recreations web site.

I just don’t see this car doing very well. The hipe is over for it. I think it is a cool car and always will be, but there are tons of them out there for everyone to have. You can even make your own. I would have one, but not for $190,000. I would build one myself. Thanks for your time.

Beautiful car, but agree, the hipe is 8 years past. To me, personally, I’d still rather have the Unique Performance build, signed by Carroll Shelby; making it a Shelby GT-500E. Without the Shelby badges, this is just another Mustang clone, but a beautiful one at best. I’ll keep looking-

I think what really matter is who making these cars, because after what happened with Unique Performance. Boy! its hard to trust people now in days. $139,999-190,000 is too rich for my blood and for a fraction of that cost you could create your own Eleanor without taking any shortcuts. I remember this guy who used to live around here in North Carolina who had his 67 Mustang converted into a Eleanor with only $20,000 U.S dollars and it had a BRAND NEW 390 big block, 4-speed Top Loader, new interior, Eleanor bodykit, and all the little extra performance parts like the rear and front Total Control coil-overs.
