Volkswagen Beetle, White, for sale in Charlotte, North Carolina, for $16,995.
Here is a one owner 1979 Volkswagen convertible that has spent its entire life in Georgia. This Survivor only has 27000 original miles on it and has been cautiously cared for. The code #L90E Alpine White over white Vinyl cushions is original to the car as are the seats, rugs, door panels, kick panels and trunk lining and trim.
This was the design of Dr. Ferdinand Porsche in the 1930's. The Beetle was the embodiment of the Post-War prosperity in Europe and America. Karmann of Osnabrick carried out the assembly work on the Beetle, including the installation of the typically Teutonic folding top. Up - it was tight and quiet as the sedan thanks to its thick sandwich top construction and glass (not plastic) rear window. The build date on this car shows January of 1979, which incidentally was the last month of production and makes it rare.
For the new owner will be the original bill of sale, owner's manual and a host of other documents, including the delivering dealer's sales invoice and security agreement. Brand new wide white wall tires covered over 15 wheels which accommodated the front disc brakes, AM/FM radio and cassette.
Pluses to consider when looking at the photographs are strong appreciation, a coast-to-coast network of dealers, high quality materials and finishes and Beetle simplicity. True survivor cars like this Beetle are getting harder and harder to find, making this one a long-term investment. If you want a to park this beauty in your drive way, drive it up and down Beverly Hills boulevards, Cannes or on Kings Road this could be your last chance. Want something Chic?
