Two owner car in all original paint and in lovely condition. Bought new in 1977 at Parma Sports Cars in Canton, Ohio by a local physician, then traded in 32 years later to Bob Gillingham Ford in 2009 when the doctor"s daughter needed a college car (new Mustang convertible). A Morgantown, W. Va man bought the car from Gillingham and has now traded it to us for a Silver Anniversary Trans Am. This is a hard-to-find car with low miles, never used in winter, always garaged & covered with a car cover (included), and never any paintwork or damage.
- The 2.5 liter 6-cylinder engine is all factory stock & original. Still fitted with the original dual Stromberg carbs & aircleaner assembly; fires right up and settles into a smooth idle with a deep exhaust note from the chrome quad-tip Monza exhaust. Pulls nicely through the rev range and cruises at 70-75 mph beautifully. Runs perfectly on unleaded pump and there are no mechanical issues; no smoke, no leaks, no noises. The 4-speed manual transmission shifts properly and there are no issues. Rack & pinion steering, front disc brakes, and rear independent suspension along with the torquey 6-cylinder provide fun top-down driving.
- The interior is factory original and in perfect condition. Biscuit colored bucket seats, biscuit carpets, and biscuit interior door panels have no wear and no marks. The original solid wood dash has no cracks and no sunfade. These cars were shipped from England without a stereo and a premium American Audio unit was dealer installed & sounds excellent. Factory 140 mph speedometer, 7000 RPM tachometer, and gauges for Oil Pressure, Water Temperature, Amps, & Fuel Level; all work properly. In fact, everything works properly including the ventilation system, lights. turn signals, horn, & wipers.
- Excellent all original body with no dents, no dings, no waves. Excellent all factory original paint in Old English White with no nicks, no chips. Excellent chrome bumpers front & rear, excellent chrome Talbot side mirror. Excellent glass and both windows operate smoothly. Original convertible top in excellent condition and with a crystal clear rear window plus a snap on tonneau cover. Factory Rallye wheels with polished stainless steel trim rings fitted with correct 15"Michelin redline radials. The trunk contains the original carpeting, spare tire, and jack assembly. All paperwork from day-1 (even the original purchase contract) is included along with maintenance records and the original Owner"s Manual. One of the nicest TR6s I have seen in years and runs & drives like brand new. Very nice.
