Triumph TR4, for sale in Stratford, Connecticut, for $16,900.

. . just in, a nice, clean, rust free southern car, excellent mechanics, very clean body and very nice BRG paint, a lot of work recently done (new radiator, completely rebuilt steering and front end, clutch master and slave cylinders, brake master cylinder, brake lines and rear shoes, coil, ignition wires, distributor), v. g. chrome and trim, nice clean interior, excellent oil pressure and compression, no smoke, runs and drives very well.

A note on TR4s. . my preference, for this kind of car, is an MGB. And I own a '65 B. But I must admit, every time I drive a good TR4 and feel the smooth rush of power, use the lovely all synchro trans, and enjoy the roomy cockpit, I say to myself 'why would ANYBODY buy an MGB?'

Weird, eh?

Sure, the 'B' is a bit tighter with its welded monocoque construction. Sure, MG had a better reputation than Triumph. And sure, on a rough road, a B will be rattle free while a TR will have its share of little rattles. BUT THAT SMOOTH POWER from the 104hp 2138cc engine. . . . . hard to forget.

The convertible top is in good condition, tonneau appears to be fairly new, trunk floor and wheel wells are perfect and rust free, car has a set of American Racing magnesium wheels. . we can retain these for a buyer, replace them with a set of original wheels and hubcaps (in stock) or easily convert the car to 15\"wire wheels. Painted or chrome.

Regardless of wheels, a nice, clean, older TR4 and a lovely 'usable' classic.
