#SFM6S2330 is in the Shelby Registry pg. 543 and as verified by the 1966 Shelby Registrar as an original Shelby GT350. This car was painstakingly restored to SAAC div II and MCA Trailered concourse top standards. The restoration started by stripping the unibody and all attaching sheet metal down to bare metal. Any flawed Metal was removed and carefully replaced.
All Sheet metal houlding spot welds were meticulously put back in the correct number and location. All bare metal was sealed with epoxy primer. The underside was sprayed with a factory appearing red oxide primer over the super sealing epoxy promer. After all proper seam sealer and sound deadener was applied, the original sapphire blue paint was applied to the exterior with over spray allowed to settle in all underside and interior areas just like the assembly line. A correct factory white le manns racing stripe was applied to factory specification. A rareley seen feature of the body is the factory coffect all steel hood which was to replace the often wavy and crack prone fiberglass hood. The all steal hood were seen through out production in small numbers because supply problems kept them from being used more often. Extensive research helped to duplicate all factory building techniques from the way sealer was applied to the bare metal or the installation of factory hardware with correct assembly line markings.
Only N. O. S. correct parts and correct appearing reproduction belt hoses and battery were used in this museum quality 1966 gt350. The skinny tires are 40 year old N. O. S. goodyear 6.96x14 tires which are the correct manufacturer and correct size. These are just a few things that make this car complient with SAAC Div II and MCA trailered concours top standards. The numbers matching engine + drive train are detailed in assembly line correct color, finishes and components. The valve covers even have the late 66 gt350 valve cover stiffeners which are usually lost or discarded often the first time the valve train is adjustment. The exhaust has factory correct tri Y headers that are jet hot coated for years of maintenance free care as well as an authentic finish. The rest of the exhaust includes rare N. O. S. ford intermediate pipe, muffler, and resonators. The interior has been restored to as new condition with original tach and lap belts.
The exterior is done factory correct with all emblem stripes etc. A interesting feature is the wheels with are the chrome version of the standard gray painted shelby wheels. These wheels are only seen on the hertz gt350's and very late vin 66 gt350's which SFM6S2330 is one of.
