1989 Porsche 911 Coupe
Classic looks and perfect manners!
Sometimes the most collectible car isn't the most fun. Sure, we go through a lot of sub-10,000 mile cars here, but this one hits the sweet spot: 52,000 miles is nothing for a 911, and driving it regularly won't hurt its value! Keep that in mind, and then add a full B&B exhaust with heat exchangers, an Autothority mass air system, turbo tie rods, sticky tires and a strut tower brace and you wind up with a VERY entertaining car!
The car's coated in an unusual shade called Velvet Red. In certain lights it's red, in others it's purple, and you have to see it to believe it. The finish is in excellent shape, glossy from one end to the other. Fuchs wheels are nearly a must for this car, and they're beautiful here. The glass and trim are excellent. The factory Carrera tail was added, as were the Euro tail light lenses, but we can't see anyone objecting to those! The doors and decklids close with German precision--this is a no accident, no excuse car.
Inside, the original seats are supple and clean, and the super dark gray makes people do a double-take when they're expecting black. Other than the Blaupunkt CD radio in the dash it's all factory in here. Clean carpets, clean leather--this is a nice place to take a ride!
Out back is the super strong, dyno proven matching engine and transmission. 217 Horsepower was the factory rating, and this one's kicked up to 214 at the wheels. That may not sound like much any more, but 911's like this were as light as they look. This car gets out of its own way, and sounds great through the B&B exhaust!
We've gone over the car and fixed a couple minor oil leaks and we've detailed it thoroughly. We've also completed the 30K service with new belts and filters. It's ready to go, begging to be exercised!
