This is a documented black and gold 1978 Pontiac Trans Am with extremely rare Carmine Red interior. This car is an original car, not a restoration, and comes with the original built sheet. When built, it was delivered to Texas, then sent to Kansas City to the Greg Weld (Weld Racing) collection where it was barely driven. This vehicle also has the rare W72, 400 ci engine with an automatic transmission. Other options include air conditioning, power steering, power front disc brakes, power windows and door locks. There were only 4139 of the higher horse 220 hp Pontiac engines made in 1978, which was the last year this engine could be combined with the automatic transmission. A few more notable features include a 3.23 posi traction rear end, delay wipers, space saver spare, and W56 sway bars. This car has hardly been driven since the freshening has been completed, which included hand rubbed urethane painting of the original body. Other freshened items include new seat covers and foam, carpet, and Mandrel bent aluminized exhaust. This is a rare PHS documented car with only 64k original miles.
