1937 was an exceptional year for pontiac selling 236,000 units, of them 56,000 were deluxe 8's available in eight different body styles with 122"wb. A favorite was the rare convertible sedan weighing over 3500 pounds. Art deco styling for the sixes and eights were very similiar with the eights having longer bodies to accomodate the larger engine. The grille was narrower and the hood higher while silver streak moldings ran down the center of the hood with the waterfall trunk. The split windshield was wider with a 39 degree slant, the hood ornament, a brave's head. This eceptional example enjoyed a professional no expense spared frame off body off restoration. The lasor straight and excellent fit body and top is finished in mirror finish black with red pin striping with attention to every detail. The top is tan harts cloth which compliments the tan leather interior. Car shows 37,374 miles believed to be original. The car fits excellent and is finished to near pebble beach quality.
