Only four owners since new, owned by a professor at Notre Dame until 1980, and just driven over 500 interstate miles to us with no reliability concerns and fully able to run with modern traffic. The original 282 cubic inch straight 8 engine produces 120 horsepower and was rebuilt along with the three speed manual transmission less than 1000 miles ago. Starts right up and settles into a smooth quiet idle. There are no mechanical issues; no smoke, no leaks, no noises, and runs perfectly on pump gas. The transmission shifts perfectly and a new clutch has been installed. Hydraulic brakes stop perfectly and steering is smooth & easy. Has a top speed of 85 mph and cruises nicely at 65.

The interior is correctly done in gray mohair fabric with perfect seats (recushioned and reupholstered), perfect interior door panels, perfect wood frames around the windows, & perfect carpets. The original instruments (100 mph speedometer/Ammeter/Oil Pressure/Fuel Level) all work properly. Excellent original dash. Excellent original steering wheel with no cracks. Factory loud(!!) horns. Original polished granite shift knob. VERY nice, very comfortable interior.

Perfect body with no dents, no dings, no waves. and I cannot find any rust, any body filler, or any patch panels. Perfect Navy Blue paint with no nicks, no chips; block sanded and buffed to a smooth shiny finish and with red pinstripes painted on the hood and wheels. Perfect chrome bumpers front & rear. Perfect brightwork with no pitting and with gorgeous polished stainless steel trim. Perfect hood ornament (the "goddess of speed") and polished front grille. Factory Trippe roadlights with the Packard emblem inside their lenses. Excellent glass and all windows operate smoothly including the two little pop-open ones all the way in the rear. The trunk is in excellent condition and the spare tire compartment (the seperate compartment under the trunk) contains the spare and the jack assembly. Factory 16"wheels, perfectly painted & pinstriped, with flawless chrome hubcaps and excellent wide widewall tires. Just professionally detailed, polished, hand waxed; and runs & drives perfectly. Just passed stringent N. Y. state safety inspection and the current inspection sticker is in the windshield. Strikingly beautiful car.
