The original 307 V8 engine starts immediately and settles into a smooth idle with deep subdued exhaust note from the original dual free-flow mufflers. The matching numbers engine has never been modified and is still fitted with the original 4-barrel carburetor, original intake manifold, original exhaust manifolds, original aircleaner assembly, and original Delco electronic ignition. Runs perfectly on regular gas and there are no mechanical issues; no smoke, no leaks, no noises. The original 700R4 automatic overdrive 4-speed transmission shifts perfectly and is actuated by the Hurst"s Lightning Rod shifters; very neat and used only in 1983 & "84; the last run of the Hurst Olds.
The original 3.73 posi rearend coupled with the low gearing of first & second gears provide powerful acceleration and the long overdrive allows relaxed highway use. Power steering & power disc brakes for safe easy driving. Using the Lightning Rods is a lot of fun (they are always an attention getter & source of questions at car shows), or leave the shifter in Drive and it shifts through the four gears like any other automatic. Very nice driving car.

Mint condition original Crimson Red interior with the bucket seats & center console. These cars came equipped with every factory option and everything works properly on this one. Power windows, power door locks, air conditioning (ice cold), tilt steering column, cruise control, 6-way power driver"s seat, factory AM/FM/cassette stereo w/power antenna, Rallye gauges w/in-dash tachometer, remote mirrors, rear defogger. Excellent original dash with no cracks and no sunfade on the gauges. Excellent original steering wheel with no stress or heat cracks. No wear on any of the controls and no wear on the original carpets or pedals. Very comfortable original interior that looks brand new.

Excellent original body with no dents, no dings, no waves, and a clean Carfax History Report. Never in an accident, never rusted, never tampered with. Beautiful original paint in silver & black with contrasting black & red striping and black & red Hurst Olds emblems, never damaged and with no touchups or paintwork. The last run of these cars was in "83 & "84 and all "83s are black w/silver accents; all "84s are reversed. Excellent original chrome bumpers front & rear. Excellent glass and the power windows operate smoothly. Excellent weatherstripping, window whiskers, and trunk seal. All factory stickers are still attached to the door jambs and underside of the trunk lid. Factory rear wing and power bulge hood. Tinted glass T-tops with the factory naugahyde bags. Factory chrome Olds Rally wheels with the correct red pin striping and fitted with new raised-white-letter P215-65-15 BFGoodrich T/A Radials.
