2.4 Liter 6-cylinder Engine, 4-speed Manual Transmission, 3.36 Rearend, Factory AM/FM Radio w/Electric Antenna, Ansa Exhaust, Koenig Alloy Wheels, Dunlop Radial Tires

- One Lady-Owned California Car; Very Early Production - 1970 Datsun 240Z in correct Kilimanjaro White with medium blue interior. Factory stock very early production car (build date 1/70; serial number 1382) from California in lovely condition. The original 2.4 liter 6-cylinder engine is 100% factory stock & unmodified, and is still fitted with its original E31 cylinder head, dual Hitachi round-top carburetors and factory aircleaner assembly. Starts right up and settles into a smooth idle with a deep exhaust note from the Ansa duals. Pulls through the rev range like an early 240Z should, runs nicely on premium pump gas, and there are no mechanical issues; no smoke, no leaks, no noises. The factory 4-speed manual transmission shifts perfectly and the factory 3.36 rearend provides a nice balance of acceleration and relaxed cruising. Rack & pinion steering and front disc brakes for safe easy driving. A complete new braking system including front calipers, rotors, brake pads, rear drums & shoes, all new brake lines, and a new OEM master cylinder has been installed. All new U-joints were also installed in the rear axles. Very nice driving car. Lovely interior in the correct (and rare) medium blue color; blue interiors was only produced for only the first few months of 240Z production. The original reclining front bucket seats were rebuilt using factory OEM foams and factory seat covers. The blue quilted rear cargo area was also correctly reupholstered and a new full carpet kit installed. Excellent original dash with no cracks and excellent original center console. The factory tachometer & speedometer work properly as do the gauges for oil pressure, water temperature, & amps. The original wood rim steering wheel is also excellent; as is the interior door panels and headliner. The factory radio is still installed but does not play. Very nice interior.

Excellent body with no dents, no dings, no waves, and all original body panels. I cannot find any evidence of body damage or body repair and being a California car, rust has never been an issue. One show-quality respray of the correct Kilimanjaro White paint done in modern acrylic urethane base/clear and then block sanded & buffed to a smooth glossy finish. The original fish oil base Japanese paint was still very acceptable when I received the car but did have some chalking from age and was not as shiny as it should be. It is now spectacular. All new weatherstripping was installed along with new window whiskers and rear hatch molding. Excellent chrome bumpers front & rear and all emblems have been replaced with new. Excellent glass and both windows operate smoothly. Brand new 15"Koenig Rewind alloy wheels with Dunlop radial tires installed. Just professionally detailed, polished, hand waxed, and turnkey ready for cruses and shows. Very nice early production car.
