The town of Worthington in Minnesota played host to the Spring Fling event, at which many classic cars belonging to members of the Antique Automobile Club of America were present.
The vintage cars, owned by a number of dedicated enthusiasts, take part in the Spring Fling every year and the organiser, Jim Jose, told the Daily Globe that they meet up ahead of time to scout out the place they are touring, so that they can prepare appropriately.
Worthington was chosen based on a number of factors, chief amongst which was the presence of Marv's Car & Sign museum, which members of the touring party were eager to visit.
Mr Jose said that his own classic car of choice was a glass-topped Ford originally built in 1954. It is part of a range that was only in production until 1956 and has been part of his collection for almost four decades.
Mr Jose said that his passion for cars was passed down from his father, who started his own collection in 1949, when he purchased a Ford Model T produced in 1917.
This classic Ford and several others remain part of Mr Jose's personal collection, which his family also participates in maintaining.
