Vintage car tours America

The great American road trip is an established tradition that is carried out by people from all walks of life, whether it be the travelling salesman in his BMW 6 Series or the college friends in a beat up Ford Pinto.
However, one particularly special road trip is taking place at the moment, with British classic car fan, Joy Rainey, crossing the country in an a 1904 Oldsmobile which was of course built over a century ago.
Rainey is completing the journey in order to raise money for a good cause and she has been blogging about her experience since it began on the 13th of April.
She said that the Oldsmobile is certainly attracting lots of attention on the trip, which is unsurprising, given that it is little more than a windowless carriage that arrived at a time when horses were still the most common form of long distance transport.
The money she raises from the road trip will go towards a cancer charity and she is hoping that donations will top the equivalent of $30,000 by the time it is completed and she arrives in Daytona Beach, after having covered thousands of miles in a classic car.
