It’s not every single day that you see classic car after classic car after classic car all part on a main street in any town across the United States – but especially not here in Torrington. However, that’s exactly what residents and visitors alike were treated to just this past weekend, when members of the Car Stars Torrington classic car club brought out almost 50 of their favorite vintage automobiles and put them on display outside of an Italian family restaurant.
An impromptu classic car cruise, if you will, the Car Stars has long been an active club in the community – one specifically focusing on displaying and demonstrating their vintage automobiles to any and all while at the same time supporting a number of community events. This is not just your typical bunch of vintage automobile enthusiasts (though you’ll find more than a few mechanics and “wrenchers” in this bunch), this is really a classic car club with a long and active ties in the community.
If you missed out on the impromptu show this past week, don’t worry – the Torrington Car Stars plan is an annual event each and every single year with the next one being held in August.
