Stamps recognise muscle cars

The US Postal Service is paying tribute to the muscle car in a new range of stamps designed to evoke the true spirit of various classic American autos.
Five stamp designs in total are being released, so the next time you choose to send a piece of mail, you might want to pop on one of these beauties.
The oldest muscle car represented is the 1966 Pontiac GTO, pictured with its lights on as it races forwards against a dramatic dusk setting.
Fans of the 1967 Shelby GT-500 will not be disappointed by its presence in the special stamp collection and you will also find a 1960 Dodge Charger Daytona, a 1970 Plymouth Hemi Cuda and a 1970 Chevelle SS amongst the iconic cars on show.
The good news is that, like the classic cars they depict, the stamps are designated part of a 'forever' collection, which essentially means you can buy them and keep them for as long as you want and they will still work just fine years down the line, if you want to send something first class.
Of course, we could be looking at the end of the US Postal Service as we know it in the near future, so these stamps might be worth more as collector's items.
