The Ford Thunderbird has a long and iconic history, dating back to its first arrival in the mid 1950s. While it may have been discontinued after 11 generations in 2005, it remains fondly remembered and various iterations are recognised as classics.
You might imagine that acquiring parts for the older examples of the Thunderbird would be difficult, given that it has been so many decades since production ceased and the range evolved. However, thanks to a company in the small town of Coshocton, Ohio, there are plenty of spares to help enthusiasts during their Thunderbird restoration projects.
The Coshocton Tribune reports that CASCO began life by catering to Ford Thunderbird models built between 1955 and 1957, before expanding its operations to include a wider range of automotive components, targeted at the classic market.
As well as building its own parts for classic cars, CASCO stocks a variety of third party products which are perfect for people who need to keep their Thunderbird in top shape.
This kind of specialism might seem like it caters to a very small niche, but companies like this are vital to supporting the classic car scene and help to preserve vintage American autos.
