Classic cars will be turning up at the SoCo Fairgrounds from today until Sunday March 11, as part of the Santa Rosa Custom Auto Show, which has been organised by mechanic and enthusiast, Greg Grundstrom.
As the name suggests, the classic cars which will be taking part in the event are not your run of the mill, stock vehicles, but heavily customised autos which go far beyond the original specifications of the manufacturers.
Each of the 80 or so vehicles making an appearance during the event has been specifically invited by the organisers, so there should be a high level of quality and workmanship on show, as well as plenty of exotic and rare models to catch your eye.
Mr Grundstrom explained that he wanted the event to be as family friendly as possible. He will also be donating around $5,000 dollars from the ticket takings to the local high school's program, which aims to get children interested in the auto industry.
This is the first time that the show has been held, but if it proves to be a success, then Mr Grundstrom is hoping to make it an annual event.
