Sexy curves or rockhard muscle – understanding the value of classic cars

When it comes to vintage automobiles, there are two distinct and different groups of collectors, appraisers, and those who just love to drool all over the vintage autos – those who fall in love with sexy lines and truly stunning design and those who are all about the throb of a powerful exhaust produced by a ridiculously potent motor.
And shockingly enough, the two so very rarely go hand-in-hand – though there is an enormous amount of appreciation from both sides for the others. This is not some Cold War where one group is trying to sell the other on the merits of their viewpoint – but rather to sides of the same coin all focusing on the love of automobiles from years gone by.
Most appraisers are consistently stating that even the most powerful motor on the face of the planet is it enough to really sell people on jacking of the value of the car – that we actually enjoy vintage autos with our eyes more than we do with our ears. This comes as no surprise to anyone who has gone to an auction and tried to sell their vintage auto – as the cars with sexy curves and clean lines almost always command higher price tags than those that are fired up and pound the pavement with a ridiculous amount of power.
Still, it’s interesting to see that this kind of hobby from both sides the fence, something you’ll want to do at your next car cruise.
