Classic car enthusiasts are regularly involved in fundraising events to help out good causes, with a recent rally in Clarks Summit, Pennsylvania, being organised around the need to drum up a few dollars for the Scranton School for Deaf & Hard-of-Hearing Children.

This is the ninth year in which classic car lovers have banded together to have a show that also supports this charity and more than 120 vintage vehicles were on display.

The money raised this year will go towards the development of a new playground at the institution in question.

The show itself took place this Sunday and benefitted from fine weather and a host of other attractions to keep the visitors entertained.

As well as classic cars, there were also craft tents, refreshment vans and plenty of distractions, so that families could come down and have a great time.

Sponsorship came from Pocono Mountain Street Rods, which has been involved in the running of the show each year.

Organisers said that the show is growing each year with more classic car owners getting involved, so it should be back for 2013.
