Classic cars and custom autos are set to parade through the streets of the city of San Rafael in California this May, with the 25th annual show dedicated to vintage vehicles still open for applications if you want to get involved.

If you do decide to take your classic car to the event then the entry fee is just $50 and this price includes a commemorative plaque, marking the quarter century over which the show has been held.

The show itself takes place in the centre of the city on May 12th, with the closing date for applications set at May 9th, which gives you plenty of time to get organised.

If you want to take part in the parade, which is the main event of the show, then you need to have a car which was built prior to 1972.

Awards will be handed out to the cars and their owners which meet the top tier criteria across a number of categories during the show.

Anyone who is not watching the cars will be able to spend time checking out live music and family-friendly food stalls, which will also be present on the city sidewalks.
