Next August the Route 66 Classic Car Cruise will be returning for another year, this time taking place in Sunset Hills, Missouri, where many classic cars and their owners are expected to congregate.

Classic cars will line the side of this famous road on August 11th and organiser, Butch Thomas, has said that it should be a spectacular event with some truly unique vehicles on show.

Over 400 people are expected to bring their classic and custom cars to the show, and there will be plenty of things to see and do, with food stalls and entertainment being laid on for the event.

The Sunset Ford dealership is celebrating its centenary next year and it will be helping out with the event, with proceeds going to a number of good causes dotted around the local area.

Mr Thomas explained that local businesses would be benefitting from the influx of custom generated by the event and after the success of this year's show, there seems to be plenty of enthusiasm behind making 2012 an even better year for local car lovers.

The cars will be parked up or in procession from 12pm to 7pm, and live music will go on late into the night.
