New Jersey has always been known as a bastion of American subcultures, and has been the setting of a number of high quality East Coast classic car shows for decades and decades.
However, the Rolling Iron Auto Show (which kicked off this past weekend) was something else entirely – with more than 250 cars pouring into the event, a number not seen in some time. Each and every one of the 250+ cars were built prior to 1976 – one of the major stipulations of the event.
Even the promoters and organizers of the Rolling Iron Auto Show were a bit taken back by the sheer volume of participants – driving vintage automobiles and spectators alike – and are more than a little bit excited at the prospects of next year show. There were all kinds of prizes awarded two different classic automobiles, a ton of events aimed at families and children, and some of the best food and music the area has seen in a while. It will certainly be exciting to see how the promoters and organizers try to outdo this year’s event enough years to come, but if anyone can do it it’s the folks behind the Rolling Iron Auto Show.
