Porsche has been responsible for some desirable cars over the years, but some of the most sought-after models it produced are not actually that long in the tooth.
A Porsche 993 Carrera RS, which went on sale in Germany this month, is a perfect example. It is part of a range that was only built between 1995 and 1996, so there are just a handful in existence and the fact that it never made it to the US as an official offering, makes it even more of a head-turner.
The Porsche 993 designation is applied to all 911 models that were built during the early to late 1990s, but the yearlong production window of this beast means that it is definitely a collector's dream.
With 300bhp generated by its 3.8 litre engine and no turbo in sight, it is a naturally aspirated road racer, with a light weight build helping it to make the most of its power.
The asking price for this model is a little north of $236,000 at the moment, which shows you how even a relatively recent classic car can retain and even expand upon its original value over the years.
