Rare Mercedes racer on sale

An incredibly uncommon Mercedes-Benz is being auctioned off in the UK this summer, in what could prove to be the most significant sale of the year.
The 1954 W196 Einstizer was found languishing in a barn but has since been restored to its former glory.
What makes this particular model so special is the fact that it was used by Juan Manual Fangio, to win a number of Grand Prix races during his heyday.
The auctioneers have been unable to put an estimated price on the W196, because, in all honesty, no one is actually sure just how much it is worth.
Its value will largely depend on how the bidding goes on the day, although some commentators have argued that it could fetch upwards of $15 million when it goes under the hammer.
The car itself will be sold this July and it will doubtlessly attract the attention of the world's media, outshining every other auction of its kind.
Classic car auctions are a good place to find rare vehicles like this, although you can also bag a bargain on more common models, like the Chevrolet Malibu, if you do not quite have a budget that stretches into the tens of millions of dollars.
