The Classic Car Club of America is gearing up to hold its first regional event of the spring for those based in and around San Diego and Palm Springs.
The show will be taking place at the Rancho Santa Fe Inn, a venue which was previously chosen by the group six years ago, but has since been neglected.
Event organiser, Vicki Zeiger, said that there should be at least 50 classic cars turning up for the show, and that it will be open to the public with no cover charge to pay, so anyone can come along and get involved.
The Classic Car Club of America has fairly strict guidelines about what constitutes a vintage vehicle. As such, you should expect to see classic cars built no earlier than 1925 and no later than 1948, in what many consider to be the golden age of US motoring.
Owners who want to be eligible for entrance into the club must restore a car to its original factory condition and ensure that it still runs, as vehicles will be judged before they are granted membership alongside fellow enthusiasts. This discretionary process makes sure that high standards are maintained.
