Classic cars heralding from Japan may not be the most popular or well known in the US, but over the weekend a large number of enthusiasts who idolise vintage vehicles from the east got together in Long Beach, California, for an unusual show.
The Japanese Classic Car Show has been held in the city for seven years in a row and it is growing each year, encompassing more cars and visitors as word spreads.
Like most classic cars shows, there were prizes handed out across a range of categories, from the most pristine example of Japanese motoring, to the car which had been driven the furthest in order to attend.
Datsuns, Subarus, Toyotas and many other vintage Japanese vehicles were on display and each had an eager owner on hand to tell you all about the history and heritage of his or her car.
With all the attention and a growing attendance, the Japanese Classic Car Show looks set to return next year for yet more automotive fun and festivities. It is one of the best places to see rare and exotic vehicles from this nation on the West Coast, with bikes and other types of transport also represented.
