For classic car enthusiasts, the Bentley Mulsanne range and the name itself has a significant history, due both to its relationship to motorsport, via the Le Mans 24 Hour race and the high performance, high luxury cars that it inspired from this British manufacturer.
The original range ran from 1980 until the early 1990s, before being revived in 2010. Bentley has recently been creating a series of videos, in which it identifies Mulsanne Visionaries, partly as a promotional stunt but also as a reminder of some of the great people who spend their lives in the public eye.
The most recent of the Bentley Mulsanne Visionaries is actor, Jackie Chan, who is featured in a five minute YouTube clip talking about his life as a philanthropist. He is, of course, being interviewed in the back seat of a modern Mulsanne, but it is interesting, nevertheless.
Chan essentially talks about how being able to help people through his wealth has allowed him to actually be comfortable with all the fame and fortune that has been afforded him, thanks to his skills as a performer.
Bentley is presumably looking to target the Chinese market with this campaign and get the Mulsanne up there as the must-have luxury car, for its growing number of super-rich inhabitants.
