Some people see a classic car and spend the rest of their lives lusting after it, some save up and actually buy the vehicle in question. But there is a third group that take a harder route still.
Ken Imhoff of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, is part of it, since he chose to build his very own Lamborghini Countach in his garage.
Creating a replica is no simple task and it has taken Mr Imhoff over 17 years to complete his Countach.
He was inspired to take on the project by his father, who pointed out that it did not make sense to buy something when you could build it yourself.
The appearance of the Countach in the movie Cannonball Run was what ignited Mr Imhoff's passion for this particular supercar and he is actually now selling this project, after he actually had to knock down a wall of his garage to get it out.
The current bid is $75,000, but he clearly values his work highly, since there is a reserve of $115,000 on it and some way to go before this is met. Presumably, enough interest in this copycat classic will help Mr Imhoff fund his next project.
