The words Ferrari and driver have been inseparable in the automobile world since 1929, but come July 1, there's set to be another world added to the pair - golf.

On that date the Ferrari Golf Collection will be in stores, a collaboration between Ferrari and Cobra Puma Golf. The range comprises clubs, shoes, clothing, bags, gloves, umbrellas and more.

The centrepiece of the collection is the king of the clubs in the golf bag, the driver.

“The Ferrari Golf Collection Driver is a work of art,” said Tom Preece, Vice President of Research and Development at Cobra Puma Golf. “We worked with Ferrari engineers to create a truly impressive driver that reduces drag and delivers fast club head speed. This results in maximized distance in a beautiful driver. To add to the allure, the driver features a hand-stitched leather grip, a headcover made from genuine Ferrari leather, a premium Fujikura Motore Speeder Shaft and it is packaged up in a luxurious Ferrari Golf Collection Driver display box.”

This nod to materials used in the construction of Ferrari cars continues to other products in the range. The shoes are made from the same leather as is used in Ferrari car seats.

Unfortunately there's no mention of a golf ball using Ferrari tyre technology, so getting your ball on the dance floor near the hole will still require pure golf skills.
