The star of the show was the 1936 Ford Custom Cabriolet, German-built, rare and restored to a Pebble Beach Concours d-Elegance winning state. Its sale for $396,000 was well above the pre-auction estimate of $225,000 to $275,000.
The top prices reached in the Dingman Collection auction were as follows, with the pre-auction estimates in brackets:

- 1938 Lincoln-Zephyr Coupe (pictured above) - $330,000 ($125,000 - $175,000)

- 1939 Ford Deluxe Station Wagon - $247,500 ($120,000 - $150,000)
