Various classic sports cars could be seen competing in the National Auto Sport Association National Championships last weekend, which were held at a race track in Lexington, Ohio.

The various events were categorised based on the type of vehicles which were eligible to compete and this included touring cars built in Germany.

This category was filled with various Porsche 944 examples, most of which were owned by enthusiasts who regularly compete in their classics on the track in order to see who is best able to keep their cool in a competitive situation.

The Porsche 944 was originally in production from 1982 to 1991 and it was popular throughout this period, which means that there are still plenty of models around today, in varying states of repair.
