An intriguing mix of classic cars and underwater creatures is set to appear at Georgia Aquarium over the weekend when the Oceans & Autos show comes back for a second year in a row.

Vintage vehicles dating from as early as the 1930s, including a Packard Roadster 745, will be on show and, unsurprisingly, there will be a watery theme to proceedings.

The most exciting motor on the day is likely to be the obscure Mako Shark concept car, pictured above and built in 1961, a vehicle which actually went on to be the blueprint for the Chevrolet Corvette Stingray when it began production in 1963.

A 1969 Ford Shelby Mustang Prototype is also making an exclusive appearance at the event and it should turn heads, since it is one of only five ever to roll off the production line.

Entry to the show is free as long as you pay for a ticket to the aquarium, which means you and the family can enjoy two attractions for the price of one. Organisers are hoping that this year's Oceans & Autos event is as successful as the last, so that it might return to this unique venue again in 2012.
