Depending on the age of your vehicle, you may be stuck with a tape deck, 8 track or even just a radio unit. Some vintage vehicles lack any kind of audio system, which leaves you in a bit of a pickle when looking to while away the hours spent at the wheel.

However, Gizmodo reports that there is a new type of in-car radio system designed specifically to fit in with the style of classics, while still offering up to date functionality.

Created by the appropriately named RetroSound, the Model Two is a head unit that will blend in with a number of classics, from the Ford Thunderbird to the Chevrolet Corvette.

It features inputs for smartphones and media players, as well as USB ports, so that you can play MP3s direct from a thumb drive.

With an LCD display and widely compatible mounting brackets, the only thing that might prohibit this gadget from becoming popular is its $399 asking price.

However, if you are renovating a classic car and want to give it a new lease of life, it might be a worthwhile investment.
