In the early twentieth century, classic car racing began officially. Before that, classic car races took place on the extremely dangerous back roads. As people became increasingly interested in classic cars, the demand for racing became very high. During the twentieth century, professional car racing emerged as a popular sporting event that is aired on television and radio. This increased the sport of racing classic cars as well. Classic car racing event tickets are in great demand. The thrill of watching a classic car race is exhilarating.
At a classic car race, normally between 10 and 20 cars take their place at the starting line. The car racing flag is waved and the cars are off. Each car sports their own vintage plates. The goal is for the cars to race around the track as fast as possible. The cars can stop in for maintenance and tire changes if needed. There are a set number of laps that the cars must complete which usually last between 1 or 2 hours. The winning classic car is the car that completes the race with the best time. The drivers that come in 1st place, 2nd place and 3rd place receive a price and recognition.
