Culver City, a suburb of LA in California, is the new setting for the latest offices of RM Auctions, the biggest company of its kind, that operates largely in the classic car market.
California is home to a particularly buoyant market where classic cars for sale often make big bucks, so it is unsurprising that RM Auctions has chosen it as a great place to introduce its latest stage of international expansion.
Spokesperson and RM Auctions founder, Rob Myers, said that Californian collectors would not be the only ones to benefit from its presence, because it also hopes to cater to the wider community up and down the coast and to states further inland.
RM Auctions has run an event in Monterey for some time now and is expecting this year's show to be just as exciting and profitable, when it takes place over two days from August 17.
Last year, over $80 million worth of automobiles were sold at the same event, which was a record breaking figure for the auctioneers. It seems likely that this success will be repeated in 2012, when around 120 premium classic cars are being put under the hammer.
