A wide selection of classic cars from rare and exotic ranges will be up for sale this week in Scottsdale, Arizona, so you can be sure that the city will be swamped with enthusiasts looking to bag a bargain.
Auction organiser, Barrett-Jackson, is using the auction to pay tribute to Carroll Shelby and, in doing so, will be selling off more vehicles bearing his name than have ever been handled in one event.
One of the most unique cars up for auction is the Batmobile built in 1966 and used in the original TV series, starring Adam West.
Multi-million dollar cars are also up for sale, including a 1933 Duesenberg Model J, which could sell for over $2 million.
Barrett-Jackson does not place reserves on the cars that it sells, which means it is an everything-must-go affair.
You should be able to find appealing domestic classics like the 1960s Pontiac Grand Prix rubbing shoulders with vintage cars from Europe and further afield.
One of the cars that is predicted to sell for the most significant amount is a 1935 Mercedes-Benz 500 K Cabriolet A, which is reported to be worth up to $3 million at the upper end of the estimate scale.
