Visitors to the Orange County Auto Show this month got the chance to get up close and personal with a one of a kind Acura NSX, which has previously found fame on the silver screen.

The car, decked out with personalised number plates and a futuristic body, originally belonged to fictional billionaire philanthropist and superhero, Tony Stark, played in movies such as Iron Man and The Avengers by Robert Downey Jr.

However, since its original onscreen reveal, it has been making a select number of public appearances, causing many people to speculate that this is in fact a brand new NSX that Acura will be producing commercially.

This is not entirely true, since the vehicle itself is actually based on a 21 year old NSX which originally rolled out of the factory in 1991.

This model has covered a quarter of a million miles and although it has been heavily modified, it still has most of the original dashboard elements, since these did not appear in view of the camera.

During its appearance at the Orange County Auto Show, the NSX actually had a black sheet pulled tightly over its dash, which was used to disguise the classic elements hidden beneath.
