For many classic car fans, the idea of owning a vintage Ferrari is a dream that seems unattainable, but an article in Classic Cars magazine, published this month, suggests that it might be more affordable than you would think.
It is suggested that the Italian sports car enthusiast looking for something that will not leave them penniless might want to consider the Ferrari 400 Series, which includes a number of models produced between 1972 and 1989.
Beginning with the Ferrari 365 GT4 2+2, each of these models is emblazoned with the unmistakable prancing horse logo and the prestige that this bestows.
However, prices for these popular cars are modest by Ferrari standards, with usable models starting at around the same level as less prestigious cars, such as the Triumph TR6.
You can pay from around $18,000 to a little under $50,000 for this calibre of classic Ferrari, so while there are certain cars from this manufacturer which cost a few million dollars, the less rare options are a little more attainable.
When buying a classic Ferrari, or indeed any old car, it is important to make sure that you are picking up a vehicle that is in a good condition, or paying a price that takes into account any faults and flaws.
