In 2013 the Mercedes-Benz C-Class will be 20 years old, with the range originally having been introduced in 1993, as the model to supersede the outgoing 190 family.
It has enjoyed two decades as one of the most desirable and profitable luxury sedans, competing with the likes of the BMW 3-Series and a number of home-grown alternatives.
Now the 2013 iteration of the C-Class has been unveiled, indicating that Mercedes-Benz will be celebrating its heritage in style.
The starting price will be a little over $32,000 for this new model, although you can of course pick up a classic C-Class at a much more affordable level and still enjoy the excellent German engineering and a good level of style and luxury.
The C-Class has become a bit of a modern classic and it has arrived in a number of different guises, with the popular SportCoupe iteration faring particularly well.
You can also get the C-Class in a family wagon version if you want something that is a little more practical than most other classic cars for sale.
Those seeking high end performance will want to check out the AMG iterations of the C-Class, which have always provided a bit of excitement over the years.
