The Jaguar XJ220 is one of the world's rarest supercars, with only 281 ever having been produced in the two years following its 1992 launch.
Now one of those examples is in the hands of Italian authorities, after it was recovered from a loan shark, who was receiving a government pension, according to UPI.
The man in question was arrested and had over $127 million worth of assets seized by the police this month.
Although little has been made public about the arrested man's operation, it is believed that he accumulated his cash through high interest personal loans.
The XJ220 is considered to be a classic by many and because of its rarity is valued at $1 million on the current market.
Because the XJ220 was never able to pass the safety standards put in place in the US, it did not go on sale here. However, imports have arrived, thanks to a rule that allows cars to be purchased for display.
With a 3.5 litre V6 engine equipped with twin turbochargers, the XJ220 can hit 60mph in just 3.6 seconds and go on to top 200mph flat out, which makes it a force to be reckoned with, even by modern standards.
