Earlier this month, the town of Salem was the venue for a major classic car rally dedicated largely to one model in particular - the AC Cobra.
The Current Rivers Cobra Rallies event was organised for the first time this year and those who were in charge are planning to make it an annual event.
While many AC Cobras were present, it was not exclusively limited to this vehicle and other classic car owners were encouraged to take part and make it as enjoyable as possible for all involved.
Starting out from the town's courthouse, the cars took off on a route which incorporated a number of local landmarks and points of interest, as well as some great roads for driving. A total of 126 miles was covered by the convoy, with a lunch break in Alley Springs integrated, along with a post-rally meal back in Salem, according to Mid America Cobra Club spokesperson, Randy League.
A raffle was held in order to raise money for the Breast Cancer Awareness Foundation and the top prize was a highly desirable 1967 Ford Mustang, which means that classic fans were able to walk away with more than they brought.
