A documentary film which charts the history of the Buick Grand National is set to get its first screening in August, according to Inside Line.
Titled 'Black Air,' the film is going to be shown off to crowds during an early preview next month, to be held at the national Trail Raceway in Ohio, during the Buick Performance Group's Nationals event.
The full official release of the documentary is scheduled for December, although director, Andrew Filippone, is already kick-starting the promotional bandwagon in order to drum up interest in the project.
Those who attend the BPG Nationals will not get to see the doc in its entirety, but will in fact, be treated to a 20 minute taster, which should get them excited for the full feature.
The title of the movie refers to the fact that the Buick Grand National became famous not only for its performance, but also for its black paintwork and detailing.
The narrative arc of the film will focus on the history of the vehicle and will look at both is cultural impact and also its competitive performance during its time in production, so it should be a must see for all fans.
