6th Annual Barrington Concours d'Elegance

The 6th annual Barrington Concours d'Elegance, the Chicago area's 'premier celebration of the world's finest and most rare classic vehicles', is set to be held on July 14 and 15, 2012.
At the time of writing, 90 vehicles have been confirmed for the event, in the following categories: American Pre-War, American Classics & Legacy Club, European Beauty, American Style, Italian Style, Timeless Preservation, Japan Rising, Two-Wheeled Power.
Highlights amongst the 90 cars are: 1936 Ford Phaeton, 1942 Packard Six Clipper, 1934 Packard V12 Convertible Victoria, 1937 Cord Custom Beverly, 1961 Facel Vega Facellia, 1964 Amphicar 770, 1955 Messerschmitt KR200, 1955 Ferrari 250 GT Europa, 1961 Alfa Romeo Guilietta Sprint, 1967 Iso Grifo, Ferrari 275 GTB/4, 1953 Buick Skylark, and a 1956 Oldsmobile Super 88.
In addition to the Concours event, there will also be a “Space to Ride” Road Rally, a scavenger hunt and afternoon drive over a 40-mile route, with a picnic at the end. Tickets for this are $75 in advance, or $85 on the day.
General admission tickets are $20 per person with an advance ticket purchase. If purchasing on the day, tickets are $25 each. Children 12 and under and service personnel are free. VIP tickets are $75 per person in advance, or $85 at the door. The VIP tickets entitle holder to general admission, plus all-day admittance to the Northern Trust VIP Hospitality Suite and Marsh VIP Hospitality Tent with lunch and two drink tickets.
And this all takes place on the fairways of Makray Memorial Golf Club, in the village of Barrington, Illinois, situated around 40 miles northwest of Chicago.
