A 42-vehicle strong collection of rare classic cars owned by Palm Beach resident, Riley Hogan Jr, is being put up for auction this year, with lots of models that should generate excitement amongst enthusiasts going under the hammer.

One of the most unusual examples on offer is a 1957 Buick Century station wagon (pictured above), which Mr Hogan and his son customised at their own garage. During its initial production run, around 10,000 of this particular model were produced, but only a few are still in working condition today.

A 1962 Pontiac Bonneville convertible is also up for grabs and Mr Hogan has lovingly restored this example. Meanwhile another convertible, this time a 1957 Lincoln Premiere, which was produced in a very limited run during its heyday, is being sold, alongside a 1954 Buick Skylark.

These vehicles and many more from Mr Hogan's collection will be up for sale at the 2012 Palm Beach auction, which is being organised by Barrett-Jackson.

While some of Mr Hogan's cars have been completely customised by the man himself, there are others which have been authentically restored, to remain in keeping with the original design which defined them all those decades ago.
