A Bentley Blower which was one of the fastest cars available during the 1930s is being auctioned off in the UK this summer and international attention is likely to help it fetch a significant sum.

Analysts predict that it could outdo all other classic cars built in the UK and sell for in excess of $7.9 million, which would make it the most expensive vintage vehicle to originate from this island nation.

The Blower was one of just 54 models built from 1929 and it hit a top speed of 137 miles per hour just two years later.

Featuring a 4.5 litre supercharged engine, it could deliver 240bhp and reach 60 miles an hour in eight seconds.

Horologist George Daniels was the owner of this particular Bentley Blower from the mid 1930s until his death in 2011.

The public sale of this Bentley has set the market alight with speculation and rumours, according to expert, George Klepp. He said that some are sceptical about the car's ability to make as much money as is being reported, but anyone who is interested in classic cars will want to see the amount that big spenders are willing to splash out on this vehicle.
