The Aston Martin DB5 is one of the most iconic British sports cars of all time, thanks largely to its appearance in the James Bond hit, Goldfinger, almost five decades ago.
However, the 23rd film in the franchise is currently in development and insiders are suggesting that the DB5 will be back under the control of 007, this time played by Daniel Craig.
According to sources working on the film, the title of which is "Skyfall", producers have ordered two of these classic cars to the set, presumably in order to use them in front of the camera.
Given the relative rarity of these classic cars, it seems unlikely that we will see them being destroyed or damaged in any way.
The DB5 has already made a reappearance in another Bond movie, this time back in 1995, when Pierce Brosnan first put on the famous tux in "Goldeneye".
Daniel Craig's Bond is grittier and more brooding than the suave, cool version as portrayed by Brosnan, but the timeless good looks and historical significance of the Aston Martin DB5, will almost certainly fit in with whatever situations are being dreamt up for the world of "Skyfall".
