There's no place to better fall in live with cars than at a Concours d'Elegance, and on Sunday, July 29, there's one taking place at St Johns, in Plymouth, Michigan.

The 2012 Concours d'Elegance of America comprises a number of events. Preceding the show, on Friday night, is the Plymouth Friday Night Concert in the Park, at which you can view the cars, and hear a free concert. Also that night, in the St John's Grande Ballrooom, RM Auctions will offer a preview of cars to be auctioned the following day.

The RM Vintage Motor Car Auction begins on Saturday, and will run from 12.00 pm to 5.00 pm. More than 70 vehicles are up for auction. Probably the feature car of the auction is the 1930 Duesenberg SJ Convertible Victoria by Rollston, one of only 16 of the model given the Rollston coachwork treatment. The pre-auction estimate for this vehicle is $850,000–$1,200,000. The 1928 Cadillac V-8 Town Sedan once owned by Al Capone should also attract some interest.

The 34th Annual Concours d'Elegance event itself begins at 10.00 am on Sunday, July 29, and finishes at 4.00 pm.
